It’s been several hours since we’ve found out the tragic news and I’ve had the hardest time trying to figure out what I want to say in this post.
And many more emotions that I can’t even describe.
Prince Rogers Nelson aka The Purple One has passed away at the age of 57. TMZ first broke the story earlier today and because of their track record of “reporting” fake news, I immediately didn’t believe it. I then went to Twitter and that was when Prince’s publicist released a statement confirming his death.
“Sometimes it snows in April. Sometimes I feel so bad, so bad.
Sometimes I wish that life was never ending. But all good things, they say, never last. All good things they say, never last. And love, it isn’t love until it’s past.”
Prince was an all around musician, producer, composer, actor, and activist who also let it be known that he cared for black lives. Prince has definitely left a mark in the music industry as he constantly used his voice to speak on the importance of owning the rights to your music.
Words can’t describe what I want to say, so instead of writing some long dragged out post, I just want to focus on the timeless music that he has blessed us with. So, this post will be filled with a lot of my favorite live performances by Prince.
I don’t know how long these videos will be on YouTube, but enjoy them while they last!
Rest Eternally, Prince Rogers Nelson.
You’ve found your way back home.
